1977 Alumni

Have some great memories of my time at Rocky High, hopefully reconnect and have a laugh with some old school buddies. Does any one remember Cyril Grace ,George Turly,Mr Dennis ,Barbie Howard ,Ray Madson the resident school rock band (cant remember who was in it but Im sure we had one ) swimming carnivals at the memorial pool, PE with Brian Dendal (Angriest man ever to blow a sports whistle) Mr Kawalski

Remember how we couldn’t wait to get older and leave school?? Silly weren’t we 😊 Best years of my earlier life was spent at this school. Lost contact with so many old friends but have kept a few from all those years ago. Still remember most of the teachers from back then.

Would like to reconnect with some of my old school friends, especially some of the girls (incl. Wanda Withers and Robyne Powell) who were easy to lose touch with when they married and generally changed their last name, but also those students in the years below that I was involved with in sports activity and school cadets that may not have left school until as late as 1980.

I guess that I was the quiet one that few would remember. But it would be good to catch up with those that do and hear their stories from the past 4 decades.

Fond memories of netball games and carnivals and our Commercial classes. Teachers: Ms Bartley, Miss Spreadborough. Life journey has led to me now travelling between UK & QLD to see grandchildren and preparing my van for travel in Oz.

Life has weaved through Architecture, Project Managment and Child Care, one wife (still), three children and four grandchildren. Brisbane is home base but as retirement calls so does travel and an increasing enjoyment of just doing nothing!

I have lived in Kelowna BC Canada with my husband Nadir since 2005. We enjoy the beautiful Okanagan Valley and working with Okanagan College, myself as the Kelowna Campus Library manager and sciences-engineering librarian. Since leaving my librarian's job at CQU in 1997, I have lived and worked in Singapore and Finland. Each year I return to Rocky in June-July for family reasons. My travel plans are yet to be determined for 2019, yet I'd like to reconnect with Rocky High and past classmates.
