John Campbell
My family moved to Rockhampton from Bathurst NSW in 1959 and I spent almost 3 enjoyable years at Rockhampton State High School.
I gained a Bachelor of Engineering at University of Queensland in Brisbane and after 2 years in the Army I joined the PMG which eventually became Telstra.
My wife Catherine and I have spent our married lives in Brisbane and have been fortunate enough to raise three delightful children.

In my time the above were called Forms III, IV, V & VI. Also, contrary to the statement on this website, our Senior Class, 1961, completed its complete secondary schooling at the Rockhampton High School and Technical College where Mr. J.A. Golding was Principal in 1958 and Mr. B.P. O'Kane was Principal in 1959, 1960 and 1961.

I attended RHSH from 1959-61. I was Head Girl in 1961. I represented the school in swimming, netball, ball games each year I was at school and received 'blues' and 'half blues' for these sports. I was Senior Swimming Champion in 1961.I also participated in school musicals in the chorus and the choir. I attended the school's 75th celebrations and also the 50th Reunion of the Class of 1961. My teachers were Don Burns, Alf Dalzell, John Mahoney, Robert Mahoney, Kev O'Connor, Tom Dobson, Frank Smith. All of my schooling at RSHS was completed at Bolsover St Campus. I had no lessons at Wandal but played sport and attended carnivals at that campus.
